Charlie started his professional acting career in 1999 when he made his film debut in the film Purely ?Belter directed by Mark Herman.
Since then he studied a HND in Musical Theatre at Newcastle College and graduated from Sunderland University with a BA Hons in Performing Arts back in 2004.
Charlie is currently represented by Shepperd-Fox Management London.
As well as working as an actor, Charlie also works as an associate facilitator for a drama based training company called Just DBT. They specialise in experiential learning, communication skills and behavioural safety training.
Over the years Charlie has performed a variety of roles on both stage and screen. Playing characters such as Mally in Purely Belter, Brian the "WAG" from the Pot Noodle adverts or Gary the ‘£1000 man’ in the Moneysupermarket commercials.
His other recent credits include the role of PC Neil Sidwell in Inspector George Gently (BBC), SGT Bull in Joe Maddison’s War (ITV) Paul the Brazilian Beach Towel for Pot Noodle (World-cup Campaign). In April 2015 Charlie had the honour of performing the role of Tommy Thompson in The Last Ship concert at the Sage Gateshead, as part of the Sage 10th Birthday celebration.
In December 2017 Charlie will be returning to the Tyne Theatre by popular demand as the pantomime favourite "Muddles" in the most magical story of them all, Snow White.
